Android version of the desktop file manager Total Commander (www.ghisler.com). This app does NOT contain ads. However, it does contain an “Add Plugins (Download)” link in the home folder. The Play Store treats this as an advertisement because it contains links to our other apps (plugins). The root functions allow Total Commander to write to system folders such as /system or /data. You will be warned before anything is written if the partition is write-protected.
